SharePoint Saturday Los Angeles "The Race To Collaborate"
 | “THE RACE TO COLLABORATE” A Free, IT Community Event Happening Saturday, April 14th on the Campus of Cal State University, Long Beach. Business leaders in the greater Los Angeles area, looking to expand their networks and exposure should mark their calendars for Saturday, April 14, 2012. The team behind the SharePoint Saturday LA (SPSLA) community, lead by Nedra Allmond and Wahid Saleemi, are hosting a free, all-day event on the campus of California State University, Long Beach inside the University Student Union featuring Keynote Speaker, Mark Miller, founder of two of the largest, online SharePoint communities in the world. Also included are interactive workshops, guest lecturers, Microsoft Health Check and more; beginning at 8:30am and runs until 5:30pm. This will be a great opportunity to connect with other SharePoint users, admins, developers and architects, to learn from experts and MCM’s and MVPs, and to get introduced to various vendors and service companies serving the SharePoint community. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served at the venue, and free Wi-Fi will be provided by the facility. Giveaways and prizes will also be provided throughout the day. When you arrive at CSULB, follow the red, checkered, and black balloons from the main entrance off of Bellflower Blvd. Directions to the student union and parking lots are located at this link. Please note the 7th Street off ramp is closed on 405 fwy going south, coming from Orange County.
A few important reminders:
- Parking is $5.00 and is mandatory. Daily permits are purchased in the parking lots at the yellow permit dispensers. Please allow enough time to obtain your parking permit! A map of the campus parking is here. SharePoint Saturday Los Angeles will be held in the University Student Union (USU) and the closest parking lots are Lot numbers *3, 4, 17 and 18. *Because SPSLA is on a Saturday you can park in any parking lot even if it is labeled employee parking.
- Registration starts at 7:45 am.
- We have a wi-fi accounts available for attendees. Please let the registration table know if you require wi-fi.
